- In Cramer Awards change Best Photography to Best Photograph
- In Cramer Awards keep Best Overall State Website and get rid of Best State Chapter Website
- Best Scholastic Coverage in State – make clear this can include multiple articles
- Best Twitch Channel – While this is not a popularity contest, there are individuals with thousands if not hundreds of thousands if not millions of followers. How do we balance their popularity with only the entries that are submitted, or do we not care?
- The idea has been voiced to move Best Magazine into the Top 3 Awards, making them the Top 4 Awards.
- Best weekly video program Eade’s Eade’s files or the New England group that has a weekly program would be examples
- Best tournament/match coverage by one organization – chess.com’s coverage of the world championship match
People are welcome to suggest other changes. I am in favor of 1-3, 5-7, but others are welcome to give there opinion and if they have other suggestions or thoughts, now is the time to weigh in.
Take care,
Joshua
There has been a suggestion that we have separate categories for self-published books and first-time authors of self-published books.
Hi Joshua, I have a question. Are we allowed to nominate our own book? I’m talking about the book I work with my husband Asa Hoffmann, The Last Gamesman. Thanks, Ginny
Hi Ginny. Yes, you are welcome to nominate your own book. I will be sending out a bit more information, but basically anyone may nominate most anything. You do have to provide copies, but I can send that to you in a separate email this weekend.
