The annual meeting of the Chess Journalists of America was held in Oak Brook, Illinois during the U. S. Open Chess Championship. Following is a pictorial report of that meeting, held on August 9, 2006. The official minutes will be published later. The CJA Meeting was in two parts. In part 1 we covered all agenda items except for the discussion of the new Constitution/Bylaws to be presented to the membership for a vote. We adjourned so the Publications Committee could use the meeting room. Then we resumed for part 2 for another hour. CJA members were prominent in many of the other meetings, and some photos below show them. The CJA meeting was entirely successful.
